Welcome to Thailand, a land rich in civilization, culture and smiles. ThaiSMISST is a non-profit organization that focuses on sharing knowledge in minimally invasive spine surgery and techniques. Over the past years, it has been difficult to accept new things that have not yet become widespread. However, many senior professors have pioneered new knowledge and technology to develop treatments for maximizing patients’ benefits. Learning from generation to generation, along with combination between new technology and knowledge is valuable for further development. Seeing the growth of the new generation of doctors who have developed themselves to be dependable on patients. It is in the best interest of patients who are suffering to recover from pain and return to living and working faster. It is also wonderful to have, not only cooperation from Thailand, but also from overseas. Many countries come to share knowledge and experiences. Every year, many new techniques and approaches emerge, the limitations are less. We aim to put endoscopic spine techniques beyond the limits.

We are delighted to announce the 16th ThaiSMISST Annual Meeting 2025, which will be held on behalf of the Thai Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and Technologies (ThaiSMISST), a prominent organization in Thailand that specializes in innovative surgical technologies and endoscopic spine surgery. This event is being organized in collaboration with the International Endoscopic Spine Update (IESU), the Korean Society of Endoscopic Spine Surgery (KOSESS), the Taiwan Society of Endoscopic Spine Surgery (TSESS), and the Malaysia Society of Endoscopic Spine Surgery (MSESS).

We are honored to host this conference in the historic province of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya — a city of profound cultural heritage, once the glorious capital of the Kingdom of Siam for over 400 years. Ayutthaya is not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site but also a living testament to Thailand’s rich history, architectural brilliance, and enduring traditions. Surrounded by ancient temples, majestic ruins, and warm local hospitality, this city beautifully bridges the past with the present. We believe Ayutthaya provides an inspiring and meaningful setting for fruitful discussions and national collaboration.
